More About Annalyssa Hinds
Clinical Interests:
My clinical interests include working with individuals (ages 12+) and couples/families. I have experience working with numerous different mental health diagnoses, but I am particularly interested in depression, grief and loss, trauma, substance abuse and addictions, blended families/divorce, and adjustment disorders.
Clinical Approach:
I believe in meeting my clients where they are at currently and adapting my therapeutic approach(es) to best fit each individual client. I feel strongly that each individual is going to adapt to change and healing at their own pace and I can hold hope for change and healing until they are ready themselves. I assist clients using a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach along with Person-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness Interventions, and a Motivational Interviewing based on the clients presenting issue.
Hobbies:
In my free time I love to do various activities and spend quality time with my partner, friends, and family. When I have time for "me time" I enjoy spending my time with a good book, baking or cooking things from scratch, watching documentaries, snuggling my dogs, hiking/exploring nature, and playing league softball.
