More About Ariel DuPey
Clinical Interests:
I specialize working with children and adolescents, I am deeply invested in supporting individuals during this critical phase of development. Adolescence is a time of immense growth, where young people are shaping their identities, autonomy, and values. My passion lies in advocating for and guiding them through this journey in a supportive, non-judgmental manner.
I have experience working with adolescents facing various challenges, including major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Recognizing the unique needs of each client, I tailor my approach to meet them where they are in their therapeutic journey.
Clinical Approach:
My therapeutic approach combines elements of person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and motivational interviewing techniques. I firmly believe in the power of creating a safe, non-judgmental space where adolescents can freely explore their thoughts, beliefs, and emotions. Through a blend of talk therapy and play therapy techniques, I aim to empower clients to reflect on their lives and recognize their capacity for positive change.
My goal is to equip adolescents with practical skills, coping mechanisms, and increased self-confidence to navigate life’s challenges and cultivate a higher quality of life. By fostering a collaborative and supportive therapeutic relationship, I strive to guide clients towards greater self-awareness and resilience.
Hobbies:
During my free time I enjoy staying active and connected with nature. Whether it’s biking, hiking, or running, I love spending time outside. As a devoted basketball enthusiast I am a die-hard fan of the Bulls. When I am at home with my husband and two cats, I love watching movies, reading, or painting.
