More About Aurora Mala
Clinical Interests:
I am passionate about supporting clients in identifying and understanding their emotions, helping them deepen their connection to themselves and to others. With experience treating substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, and co-occurring mental health conditions, I offer an integrated approach grounded in evidence-based practices.
Clinical Approach:
I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), focusing on both practical skills and emotional insight. My therapeutic style emphasizes a balance between acceptance and change. I aim to build a collaborative, trusting relationship with each client—creating a non-judgmental space where they feel safe to explore, grow, and make meaningful, lasting changes.
Hobbies:
Outside of the therapy room, I find peace and inspiration in nature—whether that’s hiking, birdwatching, or simply sitting outdoors and practicing mindfulness. I also enjoy reading, spending quality time with friends and family, and being a proud cat mom to Yoshi and Kaya.
