Clinical Interests:
I enjoy working with adults (18+) experiencing a variety of difficulties including but not limited to adjustment disorders, anger issues, anxiety disorders, chronic pain, depression, grief/loss, guilt/shame, self-esteem, self-identity, stress management, life transitions, boundary setting and conflict resolution.
Clinical Approach:
I use an integrated therapeutic approach that is client-centered, strengths-based and humanistic while incorporating methods of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Hobbies:
I enjoy spending time with friends and family including my 2 cats; being outside doing things like gardening, kayaking, birdwatching, or fishing. I also enjoy knitting and crocheting as well as other arts and crafts, reading, researching, and having movie nights with my significant other. I also enjoy trying new foods and experiencing different cultures.
