Clinical Interests:
I love working with adults exploring their paths to lifelong recovery from substance use and other mental health concerns.
Clinical Approach:
I pride myself on meeting clients where they are at on their journeys, which requires an openness to many different approaches. Where are you and where do you want to go? I then pull guidance from motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and strength based interventions. I incorporate SMART recovery, 12-step, and mindfulness based approaches. Let’s figure out what will work best for you!
Hobbies:
I’ve had a lifelong relationship with both artistic roller skating and figure skating, and spend as much time as I can on the ice. When it’s not too cold out I love walking the lakes in Minneapolis. Otherwise you can find me studying as I’m working on my masters degree in social work at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota.
I am somewhat of a mental health “nerd” and read as much as I can, particularly around the areas of anxiety, specific phobias, gender and sexuality and have a keen interest on the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC populations.
