Clinical Interests:

To empower & assist in the recovery process. Provide motivation to identify strengths, set & accomplish goals and create a sober network. Help others to understand the importance of recognizing PAWs (post acute withdrawal symptoms) within themselves, realizing the possible connection between trauma & chemical/mental health and developing an achievable relapse prevention plan.

Clinical Approach:

I meet clients where they are at in their lives in a respectful, nonjudgmental & supportive way. I’m passionate, dedicated & honored to be a part of a person’s recovery team & to walk with them on this part of their journey! I believe everyone has a story worthy of being embraced with openness, kindness & understanding.

My clinical approach encourages client autonomy, accountability, self-care, stress management, mindfulness, radical acceptance, forgiveness of self & others, identifying the barriers to achieving one’s goals & dreams and evidence based practices.

Hobbies:

My interests include spiritual growth and professional development. Currently at the top of my revolving list is creating a habit of meditation, exercise and reading. Some hobbies include being in nature, taking a Sunday drive, attending events like festivals, plays, concerts, comedy shows, listening to old vinyl records, making collage picture frames, playing cards and spending time with my 21 year old daughter and our dogs. I enjoy trying new things as I love to learn & watching sporting events like Olympics, Super Bowl and March Madness.
