More About Gilbert Ghong
Clinical Interests:
I have worked with children struggling with attachment issues and adults struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety, schizoaffective, and bipolar disorder. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals struggling with grief and loss.
Clinical Approach:
Where the client is at in their journey often determines what approach I employ. Often, I use Motivational Interview (MI) with clients struggling with substance. This approach guides them toward eliciting their motivation for change. Other clinical approaches I use are Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Solutions Focus. While CBT enables clients to understand how their thoughts influence their actions, a Solutions-Focus approach enables clients to understand that within them lies the strength and ability to find a solution to their struggles.
Hobbies:
I enjoying playing soccer, painting, working out, and reading. But above all, I enjoy spending time with my family the most.
