More About Hannah Hegstad
Clinical Interests:
While my primary experience has been working with individuals, I am also open to and interested in providing couples therapy. I have extensive experience supporting individuals who have experienced domestic violence and/or sexual assault. I am passionate about working with trauma in all its forms and severity levels.
Additionally, I work with individuals navigating depression, anxiety, interpersonal challenges, life transitions, as well as suicidal ideation and self-harm.
Clinical Approach:
I take a trauma-informed, person-centered approach to therapy, grounded in compassion, cultural humility, and unconditional positive regard. I believe therapy is most effective when it’s a collaborative process, where you, as the client, are the driving force behind your healing journey. Together, we will work at your pace, with me offering support, guidance, and tools tailored to your unique needs. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), but the work is always adaptable to your personal preferences and goals. I am committed to providing a culturally responsive space where your experiences, identity, and values are honored.
Hobbies:
My hobbies include being with my friends and family. I love game nights and trying out new activities and restaurants! Summer is my favorite season and being outdoors, hiking and going to the lake are some of my favorite summer activities.
