Clinical Interests:

Heather believes that wonderful things can happen when we feel safe, validated, and connected to those around us. Her goal is to provide that environment for every client that she works with. Heather aims to work alongside her clients to help them better understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, as well as how they can begin to live a life that they find fulfilling. Her passion is helping clients feel empowered, especially during those times when life feels really hard.

Clinical Approach:

Heather is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which helps individuals learn coping skills that can be incorporated into their daily lives to help them reduce high levels of emotion; reduce impulsive decisions and actions ;improve relationships; and be more mindful of the present moment. She understands that beginning therapy can often feel overwhelming and will work with her clients to ensure that their treatment plan is individually tailored to meet their goals.

Hobbies:

In her free time, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She also enjoys reading, baking, trying new restaurants, and attending concerts and comedy shows.
