More About Ivan Lazik
Clinical Interests:
Overall, I like to work with adults of different ethnic backgrounds who seem to be stuck in life for various reasons. I enjoy helping individuals with worry, depression, anxiety, stress management, life transitions, addiction, and other mental health issues. Being a dual-track intern pursuing LADC and LPCC certification allowed me to begin my clinical work helping individuals who use various substances and want to improve their lives. This led me to understand that clients need to be met where they are while providing them with continuous positive encouragement and realistic goal setting.
Clinical Approach:
I tend to use a blend of theories/treatment approaches which include Rogerian (Person Centered), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), REBT (Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy), Existential, Narrative, Solution Focused Therapy (for simpler issues) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).
It is important to emphasize that all clients are unique and therefore an approach that works for one individual may not work for another. This is why I am committed to understanding how your mind works, and together we can figure out which treatment approach would fit you best.
Hobbies:
I like to live a relatively healthy lifestyle by working out and eating a wholefoods diet. Also, I like to go for walks, fishing and sometimes film personal development videos.
