Clinical Interests:

Passionate, highly-driven, and goal-oriented chemical dependency counselor with ample experience working with individuals attempting to overcome the challenges of their addiction by taking a person-centered approach to ultimately foster a sense of confidence and self-belief in their pursuit of recovery. I believe that the therapeutic alliance between counselor and patient is instrumental to successful outcomes, and dedicate myself to nurturing this alliance while creating individualized treatment plans tailored to each patients unique needs, circumstances, and goals. A few of my other clinical interests are understanding the importance of exercise/physical health and wellness and the positive impact this has on one’s recovery efforts, exploring Cognitive Behavioral Therapy & Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and helping individuals foster a positive transformation of self through re-discovering identity, cultivating healthy self-esteem, community involvement, collaboration/networking, and improving self-care.

Person-centered, solutions-focused, DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), motivational interviewing, compassionate and passion-driven; Dedicated to meeting each individual where they are at in their process and developing creative treatment plans and approaches that are individualized to their unique set of needs, circumstances, and goals.

Hobbies:

When I’m not working there’s a good chance I’m spending my time rock climbing with a group of friends, and hoping to do some traveling to climb at different locations across the country. I’m very family-oriented and love visiting my brothers, nephews and sisters-in-law. I’ll also never pass up an opportunity to spend a day out on the lake or going for a long hike.
