Clinical Interests:
My specialty is working in the substance abuse field. A majority of my career was spent working with adolescents, yet in the past years have switched to working with adults.
Clinical Approach:
Focus is on a person centered approach. I realize that everyone is different, and that a person’s treatment will be focused on identifying their needs and goals, and coming up with a individualized treatment plans to support this. I utilize 12 Step work, DBT Skills, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Skills, and focus on looking into the thoughts, behaviors, and issues that can block a person’s progress. I am passionate about the recovery field, and know that a person can reach their goals if they have the support and desire to do so.
Hobbies:
I am an outdoors person, so I feel blessed to live in the Northland, and have so many options for things to do (hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and exploring). I also enjoy sports an like to go to High School and College games in the area.
