More About Jane Johnson

Clinical Interests:

Treating emotional and behavioral disorders in children ages 6 through adolescence including experiences with childhood trauma.

Clinical Approach:

I work to establish a trusting relationship with every patient I see. Additionally, I believe that building an emotional vocabulary is critical to expressing and processing thoughts and feelings and effectively expressing emotional needs. I incorporate a variety of approaches including play, art, sand tray, and talk therapy in my practice to allow patients to give voice to their challenges.

Hobbies:

Reading and spending time with my family. I am also a board member for Second Chance for Life, a mechanical heart and cardiac transplant support group at the University of Minnesota.
