More About Jenna Pfeil
Clinical Interests:
I currently enjoy working with children, families, couples, and adults experiencing a wide variety of issues/concerns. Some of the more common diagnoses I have worked with include: major depressive disorder (MDD), generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD). I work with a variety of demographics, but have found special interest working with pre-marital couples, family life changes, career transitions, personal identity, and processing past trauma.
Clinical Approach:
I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and emotion-focused therapy. I also incorporate DBT-related skills into my work, including distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness. I try to teach appropriate coping and relaxation skills, but also recognize that a strong client-provider relationship can be very helpful. My goal with working with clients is to make them as comfortable as possible by actively listening, offering a different way of thinking, and letting them process what they need to.
Hobbies:
I enjoy spending my personal time reading mystery novels, watching reality competition shows, baking, DIY home projects, and having quality time with friends and family. I also have a cat and two dogs, so spending time playing and taking care of them is a priority too!
