Clinical Interests:
Johanna is practiced in supporting clients in reducing and managing the symptoms of ADHD, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, brain injury, and mood disorders. Johanna strives to build a positive, and empathetic relationship with all her clients for fostering the goals that the client pursues.
Clinical Approach:
Johanna has experience working with teens and adults using person centered therapy focusing on the client’s strengths, believing the client is the expert about his/her own life, and fostering a warm and accepting therapy relationship. Johanna also uses mind/body and mindfulness therapies for reducing symptoms from anxiety, depression and trauma. Johanna also strongly believes that the client is the author of his/her own life and can benefit in re-writing one’s personal narrative to become more empowered. Johanna also enjoys working with couples using an emotion focused approach and The Gottman Method to resolving conflict and building effective communication. Johanna is also interested in continuing to work with families as well to build effective communication and resolve conflict.
Hobbies:
Johanna enjoys using her free time to garden, walk, do yoga, paint with acrylics, and most of all spend time with family and friends.
