More About Justin Potter
Clinical Interests:
My clinical interests draw from a strong foundation in healthcare and years of experience in high-pressure, ethically complex environments, where I developed a specialized focus on addressing moral distress and moral injury. I am also deeply committed to working with adolescents and adults navigating a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism and other forms of neurodivergence. In addition, I have a strong interest in supporting individuals and partners through the complexities of couples therapy, with an emphasis on fostering emotional resilience, self-awareness, and meaningful connection.
Clinical Approach:
My clinical approach is grounded in a compassionate, strengths-based framework that empowers clients to build insight, resilience, and lasting change. I draw from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy, tailoring my interventions to meet the unique needs of each individual or couple. I emphasize collaboration and authenticity in the therapeutic relationship, creating a supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and challenged to grow.
Hobbies:
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, taking my two corgis for walks. I’m also proud nerd who enjoys tabletop RPGs, video games, and solving puzzles in my free time.
