Clinical Interests:
Kari believes that each client is the expert in their story and passionately believes in providing safe spaces for connection. Kari has experience with children, adolescents, young adults and families. She has an eclectic background in social work from the past 13 years ranging from the residential setting, oversees trauma counseling and non-profit leadership positions. Kari has experience counseling complex trauma, exploitation, assault, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, eating disorders and major life transitions. She has many years working with youth in foster care. Kari is also a Dare to Lead Facilitator.
Clinical Approach:
Kari is a Trust Based Relational Practitioner and likes to help parents and caregivers create new skill-sets to be the most effective. Kari utilizes CBT, DBT, solution-focused and attachment-based therapies.
Hobbies:
Kari enjoys spending time with her wife, 4 bonus daughters and their golden doodle Lucy. You will find Kari the happiest when she is exploring a new beach and enjoying the sun. She loves to travel, read books, drink coffee, sleep in and long summer nights.
