More About Katie Eggersdorfer
Clinical Interests:
I work with adults (ages 20+) in an individual outpatient environment. My clinical interests include working with those experiencing grief and loss, anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, stress management, and relationship issues.
Clinical Approach:
I believe in meeting people where they are, and as they are. My approach to therapy prioritizes creating a supportive environment, where a trusting alliance can be established and individual wellbeing is honored. The therapeutic space is one for people to feel safe, seen, and accepted. I adapt my therapeutic approach to be meaningful for each different person, considerate of their identities, circumstances, worldviews, and life experiences. I incorporate different therapeutic approaches, including strengths-based and solution-focused techniques, and continuously strive to provide care informed by humility and social justice. I focus on understanding with empathy and nonjudgment, holding space for distress and suffering, and walking alongside those with whom I have the opportunity to work.
Hobbies:
I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, being in nature (especially in autumn!!), staying active, and reading, art, anime, and opera. I am also always happy to talk about books, dogs, and tattoos.
