More About Katie Peterson
Clinical Interests:
I work with adults (ages 20+) in an individual outpatient environment. My clinical interests include working with those experiencing grief and loss, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, life transitions, stress management, self-esteem and growth, interpersonal conflict, and relationship issues.
Clinical Approach:
I believe in meeting people where they are, and as they are. My approach to therapy prioritizes creating a supportive environment, where a trusting alliance can be established and individual wellbeing is honored. The therapeutic space is one for people to feel safe, seen, and accepted. I adapt my therapeutic approach to be meaningful for each different person, considerate of their identities, circumstances, worldviews, and life experiences. I incorporate person-centered, strengths-based, rational emotive behavior therapy, and solution-focused approaches. I sit with those suffering and walk alongside them in their journey.
Hobbies:
I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, being in nature, staying active, and reading, art, anime, and opera.
