Clinical Interests:
Panic and anxiety disorders, major depressive disorder, personality disorders, bipolar depression, schizophrenia, mental health related to chronic illness, and more. My background in family practice facilitates monitoring and caring for mental health issues while considering presence or effects of acute and chronic illness which may be impacting mental health as a whole.
Clinical Approach:
Straight-forward, non-judgmental care in an environment of trust is important. Mental health is classically a tough subject for people–creating an environment of trust, comfort, and safety is foremost in care I provide. (As well, is a healthy dose of humor and freedom to be oneself.) My goal is to help clients help themselves to be the best version of themselves they can be, whether that be through therapy, medication, complementary-alternative treatments, or otherwise. Facilitation of needed care is paramount.
Hobbies:
Amateur sewing and vegetable gardening, very amateur tap dancing, singing off-key when home alone, trying to keep fit against the sands of time, and watching TV or movies that make me laugh.
