More About Kenzie Janson-Wolle
Clinical Interests:
My clinical interests and specialties lie with those who are experiencing co- occurring disorders, personality disorders, and First Responders and Military/Veterans. I have many years of experience working in the first response and crisis field of social work. I am skilled and experienced in working with individuals who are experiencing serious and persistent mental illness, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia (as well as other schizo disorders such as schizoaffective), post-traumatic stress disorder, panic disorder, paranoia, and bipolar disorders. I am interested in animal assisted interventions and hold a certificate in animal assisted social work.
Clinical Approach:
My clinical approach is that of whole person, strengths based and Rogerian influences. I believe that each person has a unique life experience that is crucial to understanding their current struggles and challenges. You know what is best for yourself, and I am here to come along side you and facilitate positive change. I employ solution focused interventions, active listening, and sprinkle in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills to support any individual I work with in healing and moving forward.
Hobbies:
I am a human of many interests. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my kids, training my therapy dog, reading, creating, and spending time in the great outdoors. I enjoying researching and reading about psychopharmacology, neuropsychopharmacology, and forensic psychology. Nerding out on these subjects continues to foster my interest in the intersections of mental health, substance use and human behavior.
