More About Kristal Ficzeri
Some of my clinical interests are depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, self-identity, adjustment disorders, serious and persistent mental illness, divorce/divorce recovery, guilt and shame, Interpersonal issues, stress management, women's issues, health and wellness, and spiritual issues.
My primary approaches to therapy are Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia. I believe that each individual has a unique story to share and that each person's individual strengths are assets in the healing process; I approach life concerns from a holistic perspective as well. I value the therapeutic alliance and consider this as an important piece in providing a safe environment for my clients to share and grow. I provide my clients with skills and tools they can use to better manage, cope, and thrive in life.
My kids, family, and friends are a great source of joy in my life. I enjoy a variety of fitness activities such as running obstacle course races and triathlons. Continual learning and growth is important to me and I often read non-fiction books. In the summer I grow vegetables in my garden, and enjoy baking in the winter. My pets are part of the family and I have a hairless cat (a dwelf) and two dogs (with hair) that also keep me busy.
