More About Kristal Ficzeri
Clinical Interests:
Some of my clinical interests are depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, self-identity, adjustment disorders, serious and persistent mental illness, divorce/divorce recovery, guilt and shame, Interpersonal issues, stress management, women’s issues, health and wellness, and spiritual issues.
Clinical Approach:
My primary approaches to therapy are Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia. I believe that each individual has a unique story to share and that each person’s individual strengths are assets in the healing process; I approach life concerns from a holistic perspective as well. I value the therapeutic alliance and consider this as an important piece in providing a safe environment for my clients to share and grow. I provide my clients with skills and tools they can use to better manage, cope, and thrive in life.
Hobbies:
My kids, family, and friends are a great source of joy in my life. I enjoy a variety of fitness activities such as running obstacle course races and triathlons. Continual learning and growth is important to me and I often read non-fiction books. In the summer I grow vegetables in my garden, and enjoy baking in the winter. My pets are part of the family and I have a hairless cat (a dwelf) and two dogs (with hair) that also keep me busy.
