More About Kristin Havel

Clinical Interests:

I am most interested in working with teens, young adults, and adults with various diagnoses or life transitions including traumatic events/PTSD, depression, anxiety, and identity development.

Clinical Approach:

I tend to use person-centered and feminist approaches to therapy as a basis for interactions with clients. Understanding clients’ relationship to themselves and the world can bring out client insights and strengths. When the client is ready, I use a variety of techniques from many approaches such as CBT, DBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, and others.

Hobbies:

When not at work or school, I enjoy spending time with my partner and our four furry friends, hiking, playing board games, and exploring the world.
