More About Laura Stresow
Clinical Interests:
I really enjoy all aspects of medication management of psychiatric diseases. The workings of the mind and how medications can help people live better lives is fascinating to me.
Clinical Approach:
I try to practice a person-centered approach. We are treating the symptoms of disease but most of all we are treating a human being. Everyone has their own unique goals and my job is to make sure that my patients are attaining the best quality of life available to them. Nursing is all about advocacy and doing what is right for the patient.
Hobbies:
I run every morning before work and enjoy time with my 3 adult children. We recently adopted a puppy named Maggie and she is quite a handful! As well as working at NAL, I also do some adjunct teaching for RN to BSN students. I am back in school at this time and hope to complete additional certification in April of 2020 to help my patients even more.
