More About Lena Ruchko

Clinical Interests:

As a licensed marriage and family therapist, my clinical interests revolve around trauma therapy, with a primary focus on facilitating the healing process for individuals coping with acute stress, trauma, PTSD, and dissociative symptoms. I am dedicated to assisting individuals in rediscovering their dignity and sense of self, empowering them to take control of their lives.

My clinical interests encompass a wide range of mental health concerns that affect individuals and their relationships. I am passionate about assisting those whose lives are impacted by symptoms of anxiety, depression, shame, lack of confidence, and low self-esteem. My aim is to support people in finding their voice, telling their stories, expressing their needs, and cultivating healthy relationships.

I have been working with individuals diagnosed with various mental health conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, ADHD, phobias, bipolar disorders, and past and current traumatic experiences.

Clinical Approach:

In my practice, I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to each person’s unique needs. I have a special emphasis on dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Adaptive Internal Relational (AIR) Network, Narrative therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and strength-based therapy.

By drawing from these diverse modalities, I strive to offer a comprehensive and personalized treatment experience. My goal is to create a safe, nurturing, and accepting environment in the therapy room, where individuals feel empowered to explore the complexities of their lives without judgment and fear. By collaborating with individuals and offering personalized support, my goal is to empower them to overcome obstacles, enhance self-awareness and resilience, and create meaningful and fulfilling lives.

Hobbies:

My interests and hobbies include music, which has been a passion since childhood, as well as an avid interest in true stories reflecting diverse human experiences. I cherish moments with family and friends, enjoy diving into books, and find joy in experimenting with cooking.
