More About Margaret Steeves

Clinical Interests:

My clinical interests include working with children ages 10 and upwards. Individuals addressing anxiety and adjustment disorders, depression, grief, anger, life span transitions.

Clinical Approach:

The theoretical approach that I am most drawn to is a humanistic approach. It is an integration approach drawing from various psychological disciplines that are client-centered and existential humanistic based. I strive to create a structured, safe environment conducive of awareness, authenticity, and acceptance. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, narrative therapy, strength-based therapy, guided imagery, breathing techniques, and mindfulness.

I enjoy writing, traveling, music, reading, time spent with my 3 son’s and daughter-in-law, attending animation conventions with my son, dining out with friends and family, and enjoying nature hikes.
