More About Matthew Martin

Clinical Interests:

I have previously worked with adults to increase Independent Living Skills (ILS). I am currently enjoying working with adults experiencing a wide variety of issues/concerns. Some of the more common diagnoses I have worked with include: Addictions, Anxiety (General), Anger, and Depression (MDD). I work with a variety of adult demographics (i.e. age, race, gender, religion).

Clinical Approach:

I utilize a mixture of cognitive behavioral therapy skills and techniques, motivational interviewing techniques, and solution focused techniques as my approach to working with clients. I incorporate DBT-related skills into my work, including mindfulness and increasing distress tolerance. My goal with working with clients is to meet them at where they are at and walk with them on their journey of self-discovery.

Hobbies:

I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I enjoy working out at the gym and watching movies in my free time. I enjoy game shows (especially Jeopardy) and all trivia in general.
