More About Matthew Rask

Clinical Interests:

I enjoy working with individuals 13 and up throughout many different periods of life and issues. I have previously worked with depression, anxiety, stress, lifestyle management, family/relationship issues, grief, trauma-related symptoms, phase of life issues/transitions and many others. I plan to continue to grow in other areas as I develop as a therapist.

Clinical Approach:

I am a therapist that likes to utilize Cognitive Behavioral techniques, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness/relaxation and talk therapy (alongside others) to address difficulties in therapy. I take a person-centered approach by focusing on building rapport and trust as those are so important in client success. I try to incorporate techniques in therapy for the client to feel empowered and feel motivated to take steps towards improving their desired areas.

Hobbies:

I am someone who enjoys traveling, cooking, being with my wife and friends/family, being active and sports. I also enjoy the outdoors and experiencing new things. For fun, I like to go to movies, go out to eat, watch TV shows, go to events/concerts/games and golf.
