More About Melissa Norland-Shepard
Clinical Interests:
I enjoy working with clients on adjustment issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, attention/focus problems, communication skills, relationship problems, and a myriad of other stressors. I like to think of myself as a partner working with my client to help them write a better story.
Clinical Approach:
Adlerian therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), DBT, mindfulness approaches, trauma-informed therapy, Interpersonal & Social Rhythms Therapy, and polyvagal techniques.
Hobbies:
In my spare time, I focus on intentional time with friends and family, being outside, and staying active (especially all three at once). I enjoy cooking, reading, and engaging in creative expressions, like crafting and music.
