Clinical Interests:
Pam currently provides a consultative service of ADHD and executive functioning assessments at Sandhill and has provided counseling and assessment services through Compass Health network. At Compass, Pam provided crisis services, assessment, individual and family therapy. She has worked with a variety of ages and cultures and values diversity and treating everyone as a unique individual with strengths and challenges that should be valued and treated with respect and dignity.
Clinical Approach:
Pam’s therapeutic style is non-judgmental and strengths-based, and she determines the therapeutic approach based on each individual client and family’s needs.
Pam use’s a variety of approaches including art therapy, play therapy techniques, solution-focused, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. She understands the therapeutic relationship is very important, and strives to make sure all client’s feel safe and valued. Because of this, her technique uses a variety of creative approaches to help both children, teens, and young adults to share obstacles to their wellness and to problem-solve toward solutions.
Hobbies:
In her spare time, Pam enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. As a family they enjoy watching movies, playing games, traveling and doing pretty much anything together. In her spare time she also enjoys genealogy, reading, spending time in nature, and doing puzzles.
