More About Patricia Mendoza
Clinical Interests:
I am truly committed to helping adults, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges in a way that nurtures resilience and healing. I view therapy as a collaborative partnership, where we work together to explore the issues that are most important to you and create a path toward growth. I have experience supporting individuals facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma, and substance use. What drives me most is empowering clients to reconnect with their inner strengths, helping them build lasting coping skills, and guiding them toward a place of healing and self-discovery.
Clinical Approach:
My clinical approach is rooted in a client-centered, collaborative model, where I believe in the importance of self-determination and empowering individuals to take an active role in their own healing process. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Psychodynamic principles, all while maintaining a strong foundation in a social work framework. This allows me to understand and support clients within the context of their unique life circumstances, while fostering a space where they feel heard, valued, and capable of making meaningful change.
Hobbies:
In my free time, I enjoy scrapbooking as a creative way to reflect on meaningful moments and preserve memories (but really I’m just overly sentimental with the memory of Dory from Finding Nemo). I’m also an avid reader, always seeking new perspectives and stories (I’ll be honest though, I almost strictly read only romance). Above all, I cherish spending time with my chosen family, as they bring a deep sense of connection and support to my life (and we all love a good yap session).
