More About Peter Rotondo
Clinical Interests:
I work with children from ages three on up. I specialize not only working with the child, but collaboratively with the child’s family in a holistic therapeutic process. I also very much enjoy working with pre-adolescents, adolescents, and young adults. My clinical interests focus on issues of depression, anxiety, aggressive behaviors, family dynamics, obsessive compulsive disorders, and ADHD.
Clinical Approach:
My clinical approach is relationship focused utilizing a combination of strength based and solutions focused therapy principles. I routinely utilize play therapy techniques which helps the child or adolescent to relax so he or she is better able to explore their thoughts and feelings in a safe and comfortable environment. In my therapy approach, I utilize Cognitive Based Therapy, (CBT), Narrative therapy, Motivational therapy, and most recently, Cognitive Based Therapy-Insomnia, (CBT-I).
Hobbies:
I enjoy time with my family. I also enjoy eating, cooking, kayaking, gardening, dancing, and travel.
