More About Rachel Bock
Clinical Interests:
My primary area of interest is in psychological testing for children and adults over the age of 6, including evaluations for diagnostic clarification, ADHD, intellectual functioning, and learning disorders. I also provide outpatient therapy for adults aged 18-35 with diverse backgrounds and experiences. I have experience working with a variety of presenting problems, including anxiety, trauma, depression, OCD, ADHD, and adjustments to life stress.
Clinical Approach:
For psychological testing, I utilize a range of assessment methods, including objective and projective measures. In therapy, I work primarily from a third-wave cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approach that emphasizes building a rich and meaningful life worth living rather than simply reducing psychiatric symptoms. I work from a trauma-informed lens and use a range of interventions from CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills training, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), depending on client needs and preferences. My aim is to provide an accepting and nonjudgmental space to process and problem solve difficulties, build behavioral skills, and improve quality of life.
Hobbies:
I enjoy writing, poetry, movies and TV, hiking, and fishing.
