More About Rhonda Keith
Clinical Interests:
I have a special interest in addiction studies and mental health. I also have an interest in the overall biop-sycho-social health of the individual. Therefore, it is important to me consider physical health and well-being in addition to addiction and mental health. I am also interested in brain science, and industrial and organizational psychology.
Clinical Approach:
My clinical approach can be considered largely holistic. I take whatever approach tends to work best for each client. That means if CBT works for you, then that’s what we use, if you like solution-focused therapy, then we go with that. Each person is a unique individual and we figure out what works best for YOU. Sometimes one thing works for a while and then we have to switch gears and that’s perfectly ok. Change happens and humans must learn to roll with that change in a way that works well for them, so I help you to do that! I try to be authentic and real in my approach and I like to give people skills they can use in the real world right away. I like to ask questions that help people think!
Hobbies:
My biggest personal interest is to learn new things! When I can’t sleep at night, I like to give my brain something to learn about. If I’m not learning something new, I enjoy spending time with my family, shooting 3D archery, or watching my daughter compete nationally in All-Star cheer. We have a household zoo consisting of an English Springer Spaniel, a Pitbull, a rescue tortie cat (with 100% tortie attitude), a guinea pig, and 5 fish and we love them all! I am also a die-hard Vikings fan who is married to a Packers fan, so football season keeps me on my toes between studying for my Ph. D.
