More About Robert Bouley
Clinical Interests:
I treat clients with issues ranging from anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, substance abuse, and other co-occurring factors. My clients may know what they want out of treatment or they may simply have an awareness that ‘something isn’t right – my life can be better than this.’ Regardless, I challenge and assist my clients in confronting their disorders in efforts to discover a lifestyle that’s free of symptoms.
Clinical Approach:
When working with individuals, couples, and families I incorporate cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and person-centered elements into treatment. In all cases I work diligently with my clients to identify effective and obtainable goals to increase their functioning and fulfillment.
Ultimately I believe in individualizing treatment for my clients; to empower them to reach fulfillment in all areas of their life utilizing their own personal values. The therapeutic relationship is paramount to the recovery process, and something I believe benefits from an honest, non-judgmental approach – with some occasional humor as needed.
Hobbies:
I am enamored by our beautiful state of Minnesota and enjoy venturing out with my wife and baby boy whenever possible. I consider my work to be both a passion and a privilege. Other hobbies include: watching amazing movies, having adventures with my little dog, Rascal, and playing board/video games with friends.
