Clinical Interests:
I work with children, adolescents and their parents using cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma focused treatment to work with behavioral disorders, mood disorders, and trauma. I typically work with anxiety, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and LGBTQ+ issues. Additionally, I have worked quite a bit with individuals living in foster care, mandated (court ordered) services, and individuals living in juvenile detention or other treatment facilities.
Clinical Approach:
I work with kids and parents to define the problem and address it through skills based interventions, assisting with parenting skills and helping children/adolescents develop regulation and coping skills to deal with their own stress. I like to incorporate a strength based approach to highlight the individual strengths of a person and utilize that strength to promote growth and progress.
Hobbies:
I like spending time outdoors with my family and friends, traveling, going out to eat and trying new restaurants, and playing with my cat at home.
