More About Samuel Anthony

Clinical Interests:

I am passionate about supporting individuals who are struggling with depression, and I feel especially drawn to helping clients navigate the deep despair and emotional weight that often accompany it. I also have experience working with anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges, and I am fascinated by the resilience people show in the face of adversity. I strive to create a safe and supportive space for clients to process and heal from past traumatic experiences. I work with teens and adults from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds and consider it a privilege to walk alongside people from all walks of life. I feel a deep calling to this work and approach each client with empathy, curiosity, and respect.

Clinical Approach:

My clinical approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I believe that by identifying and considering unhelpful thought patterns, we can begin to view ourselves and the world in new and more empowering ways. At the same time, my therapy style is warm, collaborative, and humanistic. I place a strong emphasis on building a trusting therapeutic relationship, as I believe that genuine connection is the foundation of meaningful and lasting change.

In addition to CBT, I incorporate techniques informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), both of which help clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and alignment with their values. I also utilize couples-focused applications of these approaches to help partners reconnect, improve communication, and navigate conflict with compassion and clarity.

Hobbies:

Outside of work, I’m passionate about regular exercise, gaming, connecting with friends, and spending time in nature. These activities help me stay grounded. I also enjoy and seek out quiet moments of mindful reflection and meditation.
