More About Sarah Motacek
Clinical Interests:
I enjoy working with a variety of life’s challenges and diagnoses including anxiety, depression, addiction and recovery, stress-related concerns, working through guilt and shame, improving communication and relationships, fostering assertiveness, cultivating better self-esteem, incorporating self-compassion, and improving overall wellness.
Clinical Approach:
I believe people are the experts in their own lives and it is my privilege to work alongside them to find paths that support their goals and who they are as a person. I prefer to integrate treatment philosophies based in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) skills, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness to meet the unique needs of each person. I like to take time to listen and understand, then work collaboratively to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences to identify choices; and leaving it up to the person to decide what they want to change.
Hobbies:
I enjoy time outside, hiking and backpacking, travel, and playing board games.
