More About Shandra Schulz
Clinical Interests:
I enjoy working with children (ages 6–12) and adults (18+), and am particularly passionate about supporting individuals navigating the emotional impact of a new genetic disorder diagnosis. I have a strong interest in working with clients experiencing ADHD, depression, anxiety, and those exploring relationship and sexual concerns.
Clinical Approach:
While I’m trained in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), I take a person-centered approach and adapt my methods to meet each client’s unique needs, drawing on both insight-oriented and skills-based interventions. I’m most energized by sessions where clients gain clarity, feel hopeful, and leave with a stronger sense of direction. My goal is to help people better understand themselves, grow, and adapt in ways that support a meaningful and empowered life.
Hobbies:
When I’m not in session, I enjoy crafting absurdly good sandwiches (yes, there’s an art to it), spending time with people who make life feel a little lighter, and finding creative ways to decompress—whether that’s through a good playlist, tending to my houseplants, or a well-deserved deep dive into a book. I try to stay curious, present, and open to the small things that make life more meaningful.
