More About Stephanie Miller

Clinical Interests:

I am interested in working with adults, adolescents, and couples. I have experience working with a wide variety of populations, demographics, and diagnoses, including life transitions, stress management, grief & loss, bipolar disorder, relationship concerns, divorce, premarital counseling, borderline personality disorder, substance use disorder, criminal history, anger management, post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, and anxiety.

Clinical Approach:

I believe in having a flexible, creative, and collaborative approach that meets the client where they are. I have a person-centered approach that takes into account the interconnectedness of the person's mind, body, spirit, and environment. I work from a lens that incorporates Mindfulness Based Therapies, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectic Behavior Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Health Psychology, Buddhist psychology, and trauma-informed approaches. In my work with couples, my approach is informed by The Gottman Method, Emotion Focused therapy, and Attachment Theory.

Hobbies:

I love spending time in nature, hiking, gardening, and going for long walks with my dog. I also enjoy cooking, traveling, and dabbling in the arts. I have an unending passion for learning new things and exploring the world we live in.
