More About Stephanie Warwas
Clinical Interests:
I have passion and hope for all who seek change and help through the therapeutic process. The sacredness and privacy of the therapeutic relationship with my client starts with building trust and rapport. My practice consists of using evidenced based theories and interventions such as motivational interviewing, spiritual integration, CBT, Narrative therapy and trauma based therapies when the client is ready. I begin the therapeutic process by completing a thorough assessment of symptoms to make a accurate diagnosis to begin the process of creating an effective treatment plan. In a busy and noisy world where the art of listening and being heard can be a challenge, I will provide space for sharing and learning that feels peaceful, safe and respectful.
I have developed proficiency in teaching and applying communication skills in difficult relationships, along with helping clients learn to effectively solve problems and find solutions when they are stuck.
Clinical Approach:
I have experience working with individuals, couples and families in a safe and peaceful setting that allows autonomy, challenges and change. I have worked in multiple settings including CTSS in the high school and in home settings along with out patient private practice.
As a social worker I work with the client at their pace, on changes they want to make for themselves and at the same time encourage and foster change through a strengths based approach.
Hobbies:
I enjoy bringing hope and healing through God’s love to others, Learning new techniques and interventions, spending time with Family and planning gatherings and events, traveling regionally and abroad, gardening and landscaping, interior design, and spending time on the water in the summer.
