More About Wyat Brueggeman

Clinical Interests:

I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, identity exploration, and relationship challenges. I am especially interested in supporting individuals who are navigating complex emotional experiences or seeking greater self-awareness and personal growth. I have a strong passion for working with LGBTQIA+ clients and strive to provide an affirming, inclusive space where people of all identities feel seen and supported. My clinical interests also include working with diverse populations and addressing the impact of societal and cultural factors on mental health. I aim to create a therapeutic environment that is compassionate, collaborative, and responsive to each client’s unique needs and goals.

Clinical Approach:

My clinical approach is rooted in creating a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I draw from evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while maintaining a person-centered focus that emphasizes empathy, collaboration, and respect for each individual’s unique journey. I believe in meeting clients where they are and tailoring treatment to support their personal goals, strengths, and values. Whether someone is navigating a specific challenge or seeking deeper self-understanding, I aim to foster insight, resilience, and meaningful change.

Hobbies:

Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy reading, playing pickleball, and spending time with my dog, Milo, and my cat, Banjo. I find joy in being outdoors, whether it’s going for a walk, exploring new places, or simply soaking up some fresh air. I also love spending time with family and discovering new restaurants—trying different foods is one of my favorite ways to connect with others and unwind. These activities help me stay grounded and bring a sense of balance and joy to my life.
