More About Cynthia Kluver
Clinical Interests:
I work with both children and adults (ages 5 and up) with a wide variety of diagnoses, particularly anxiety and depression as well as trauma. I also especially enjoy working with parents of children with challenging behaviors, developing effective ways to manage those behaviors.
Clinical Approach:
I tend to approach issues from a Cognitive Behavioral perspective. (In other words, what we think about a situation determines how we feel about it and how we react). These thoughts are also often influenced by our own personal history and experiences which color how we view ourselves, other people, and the world in general. I tend to be very solution focused as well as very supportive: “We are all doing the best we can with what we have”. I also am trained in EMDR which has proven to be extremely effective in helping clients heal from trauma.
Hobbies:
I enjoy time with my family and friends, playing board games, shopping, dancing, going to movies, wine tastings, bonfires, travelling, and spending as much time as possible at the beach. I also love animals and have two cats of my own.
