More About Kalene Haugen
Clinical Interests:
Adolescents, LGBTQIA+ youth and families, couples navigating gender identity exploration and transition, polyamorous relationships, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, supporting youth experiencing suicidal ideation and self-harm, and school related mental health concerns.
Clinical Approach:
I approach my work systemically from a social justice lens that takes into account the family system, the larger social and institutional systems, and the systems of privilege and oppression that influence one’s ability to create change and realize their potential. In sessions, I use humor and casual language to help build a solid relationship with my clients and supervisees to help us better work toward their goals.
Hobbies:
Outside of work, I enjoy video games, tabletop games, sci-fi and fantasy books, cooking, and spending time with my dog Laiska and cat Hillary.
